It is not a five star hotel but it doesn't say it is.
We used Uber to get to Disney and found this worked really well. We bought cereal, toast and pop tarts and used breakfast as a snack at the park. Breakfast if you have read any reviews is what it is. We had a two bed suite and yes it is dated but it is lovely to have the space. Thank you to all the staff as this made a real difference to us. My son was mortified and they made no fuss which really helped. I rinsed it and took it to reception next day to ask for a fresh sheet. Due to the heat my son was sick and a little got thw top sheet. As it was during a storm they offered both sets of keys until morning so that we could move our things the next day. When they couldn't fix it they moved us rooms. We called down to reception and within 5mins maintenance were there. On our 2nd night we realised the ac wasn't working. Overall this is a decent property, but they really need to step up their evening hors d'oeuvres game. Other competing brands offer complimentary evening happy hours. The one other embarrassing miss for Marriot and their M Clubs is that they require guests to pay for drinks in the M Club. The person who set up the food went back to the front desk and never returned. There were so few crackers put out that they were gone in a minute. They also had very small platters of cheese, crackers and meats. The person who set up the hors d'oeuvres didn't put out ANY serving utensils for any of the offerings. On the Saturday evening of my stay the evening hors d'oeuvres were put out an hour late and when they finally were put out, the offering was frozen chicken strips (think kids meal at a restaurant) that were cold and the worst hard waffles that were obviously left over from breakfast (they serve the same waffles at breakfast). The breakfast was adequate and in line with most other M Clubs, however the evening hors d'oeuvres were embarrassing. My main gripe with this property was the poorly managed M Club with embarrassing food options.
The room was very nice and updated and I was really happy with how well they had updated the rooms. High floor isn't a big deal but I was placed in a room directly adjacent to the elevator with no platinum upgrade. High floor away from elevator are my preferences. I checked in on the mobile app and was pleasantly surprised that I was checked in promptly, however none of my room requests were met. Everything is updated from the lobby to the rooms to the M Club. This is obviously an older Marriott property that has undergone a really nice refurbishment. Orlando | 0.68km from Ember My first impression of this property was very favorable.
